 Welcomes You to Greene County, Tennessee! Mayor Morrison was elected August 2018 and began on September 1, 2018. The County Mayor primarily serves as the financial agent for the County. Unofficially, the Greene County Mayor serves as the public relations director, since he is responsible for representing the County at many functions and presentations. Also, other duties include making nominations and appointments of persons to certain committees and making recommendations to the GreeneCounty Commission. The County Mayor’s Office is in place to serve the citizens of Greene County. If you are in need of assistance in most any matter, this office can put you in touch with the right people that will be able to assist you. Greene County Health Department
is offering FREE Naloxone Training on 12/17


If you have a friend or family member to overdose on heroin or opioid pain medications, would you know what to do? The Greene County Health Department will be offering Free Naloxone Training on Monday, December 17 at 5:30 pm in the 2nd Floor Conference Room. Each participant will be trained on how to use naloxone, receive a certificate of completion, and receive a free naloxone kit. Naloxone is a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose. It can very quickly restore normal respiration to a person whose breathing has slowed or stopped as a result of overdosing with heroin or prescription opioid pain medications. Only one naloxone kit per household.

Persons wanting to attend will need to call the health department at 423-798-1749 to register for the training. Space is limited to 50 participants.
