 Welcomes You to Greene County, Tennessee! Mayor Morrison was elected August 2018 and began on September 1, 2018. The County Mayor primarily serves as the financial agent for the County. Unofficially, the Greene County Mayor serves as the public relations director, since he is responsible for representing the County at many functions and presentations. Also, other duties include making nominations and appointments of persons to certain committees and making recommendations to the GreeneCounty Commission. The County Mayor’s Office is in place to serve the citizens of Greene County. If you are in need of assistance in most any matter, this office can put you in touch with the right people that will be able to assist you. Notice of Meeting of the Board of Directors of The Greeneville-Greene County 911 Emergency Communication District of Greene County, Tennessee

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of the Greene County Emergency Communications District of Greene County, Tennessee (the “District”) will meet in open and public session at the 911 Office (111 Union Street, Greeneville, TN) at 9:00 a.m., on Friday, September 27, 2019, for the purpose of considering all matters as may be properly presented to it, including the consideration of a bond resolution authorizing the issuance of $404,500 Emergency Communications District Revenue Bonds, the proceeds of which will be used to finance the purchase of communications equipment. This notice is given pursuant to the provisions of Sections 8 44 101 to 8 44 106, inclusive, Tennessee Code Annotated.
